CalmCall is a mental health platform that combines artificial intelligence with professional therapy. We offer an AI companion available 24/7 for emotional support, therapeutic journal, emotional detection and access to licensed therapists — all in one place, accessible from your phone or computer.

Our AI companion uses advanced natural language processing models to conduct empathetic and therapeutic conversations. It detects emotions from your voice and text, remembers previous conversations, guides you through breathing exercises and cognitive techniques, and adapts each interaction based on your current state. The AI has been trained on the best practices from psychotherapy.

Absolutely. All your conversations are end-to-end encrypted using military-grade encryption standards (AES-256). We are fully GDPR compliant and adhere to personal data protection legislation. We do not sell data, do not share information with third parties, and you can request complete deletion of all data at any time.

CalmCall offers a free plan with limited access to the AI companion (5 conversations per month). The Standard plan costs $29/month and includes unlimited AI plus 2 therapist sessions. The Premium plan, at $59/month, offers everything unlimited, including therapist sessions, development coach and advanced features. There is also a 20% discount for annual subscriptions.

No. The AI companion is designed as a complement to professional therapy, not as a substitute. The AI can help you between sessions with exercises, emotional support and mood tracking, but cannot make diagnoses, prescribe medications or provide clinical treatment. For complex mental health issues, we always recommend consulting a specialist.

If you are in an emergency situation or have thoughts of self-harm, please immediately call 911 (US), 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or 112 (EU). CalmCall is not an emergency service. Our AI is trained to recognize signs of crisis and will automatically direct you to appropriate emergency resources.

You can cancel your subscription at any time, directly from your account, without penalties and without questions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your data remains available for 30 days after cancellation, during which you can reactivate your account.

All therapists on the CalmCall platform are licensed clinical psychologists or psychotherapists, with minimum 3 years of clinical experience. Each therapist holds a valid practice license and is subject to a rigorous verification and ongoing evaluation process.

Yes! CalmCall works on any device with internet access — phone, tablet or computer. You can access the platform through your browser or through our progressive web app (PWA). Conversations with the AI can be voice or text, depending on your preference.

Currently, CalmCall is fully available in English and Romanian. The AI companion can understand and respond in multiple languages, but the complete experience — including therapist sessions — is optimized for English and Romanian speakers. We plan to expand to other languages in the future.

Yes. We use AES-256 encryption for all data, secure servers in the European Union, two-factor authentication and regular security audits. We are GDPR compliant, and you have full control over your data — you can download, export or permanently delete it at any time.

Conversations with the AI companion have no time limit — you can talk for 5 minutes or an hour, depending on your needs. Sessions with a human therapist last a standard 50 minutes, similar to a classic psychotherapy session.

Yes! The free plan includes 5 conversations per month with the AI companion, access to the therapeutic journal and the CalmCall community. You dont need a bank card to register. You can test the platform without any obligation.

Yes. In Standard and Premium plans, you can choose the therapist from our list of specialists. Each therapist has a detailed profile with specializations, therapeutic approaches, experience and reviews. Additionally, the AI can recommend a suitable therapist based on your initial assessment.

The CalmCall hybrid model combines continuous AI support with periodic sessions with a human therapist. The AI helps you daily between sessions — with exercises, emotional support, mood tracking and journaling. The therapist receives (with your consent) a summary of your progress, so sessions are more efficient and better targeted.

Conversations are stored encrypted to allow the AI to maintain context and continuity. You have full control: you can delete any individual conversation or all conversations from your account settings. Data is not accessible to the CalmCall team and is not used for AI model training.

CalmCall is intended for people aged 16 and over. For minors between 16 and 18, parental or legal guardian consent is required. For children under 16, we recommend direct consultation with a psychologist specializing in child and adolescent psychotherapy.

Between therapist sessions, the AI companion offers you: personalized daily exercises, relaxation techniques and guided breathing, AI therapeutic journal with analysis, mood and emotional pattern tracking, reminders for goals set in therapy, and instant support whenever you feel you need it.

The AI companion integrates elements from multiple scientifically validated approaches: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for thought restructuring, Mindfulness for presence and calm, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for psychological flexibility, breathing and progressive relaxation techniques, and elements from Compassion-Focused Therapy.
